Courtney Mabeus writes about the military for The Virginian-Pilot. She received her Master's from the University of Maryland's Merrill College of Journalism in 2015 and a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina's School of Media and Journalism in 2002. Our website features reporting by University of Maryland students about press freedom in the United States and abroad. It also offers resources to instructors elsewhere who may want to teach classes or hold workshops on this theme.
