Kerrigan Stern is a senior broadcast journalism major at the University of Maryland, College Park. She is currently interning as the Video Production and Digital Marketing Assistant with the University of Maryland Office of Sustainability. Previously, she has served as the Communications and Media Relations Intern with the University of Maryland Office of Community Engagement, as a Staff Intern with Voice Media, and Editor-in-Chief of Unwind Magazine on-campus. She is excited to enter the communications industry upon graduation in May.

Our website features reporting by University of Maryland students about press freedom in the United States and abroad. It also offers resources to instructors elsewhere who may want to teach classes or hold workshops on this theme.
